Mientras tanto.....

He estado probando como empeanar las escuadras de FOW, con un claro resultado, no me quiero complicar la vida.

Today I will probe some kinds put the FoW squads, I obtain a clear result. I don´t want to bedevil my life.

He causado desconchones y rozaduras en la pintura que me obligara a retocar las cinco figuras, por que quite la base y probe diferentes configuraciones y posibles soluciones.... perdiendo dos horas, para decidir que habia hecho el idiota. A veces como todo el mundo tengo esos "dias" que son para olvidar o haberme quedado con las manitos quietas.
I caused some chips and scratches in the paint that will force me to tweak the five figures. I remove the base and make different probe configurations and possible solutions .... losing two hours, I finally  decide that I had made the idiot. At times like everyone else I have those "days" that are to forget or still with the hands in my pockets.

Apertura Hatail, Spec Op Tohaa. Open Box Hatail, Spec Op

Siguiento el post de anterior, hoy abrimos otro blister de infinity, en concreto el spec op Tohaa, Hatail.
Following the last post, today we eill open another Infinity Unit, Tohaa Spec Op, Hatail.

 
Podeis ver el despiece de la unidad, lo primero y mas evidente son las tres armas extra Tohaa, luego tenemos dos cabezas, con capucha sin capucha, tiene muchisimo más carisma la con capucha. Los brazos enmarcan y completan la pose del cuerpo. Sencillo y desenfado.
You can see all the pieces of this unit, first we can see the tohaa extra arsenal, the two heads (the head with the hood are great!). The arms with the body make the pose. Simple and casual.

Apertura Sniper Gao-Rael. Open Box Sniper Gao-Rael

Una pequeña entrada pàra enseñaros esta unidad Tohaa, Gao-Rael, el cazador, equipado con su rifle francotirador.
A small post to show you this Tohaa unit, Gao-Rael, the hunter, equipped with his sniper rifle.

Como veis el despiece es muy sencillo, el arma con la mano derecha y el brazo izq hasta el codo, y el resto. No hay que fijarse demasiado para ver lo intrincado del detalle que posee en el torso. A ver que tal se deja pintar.
You can see is very simple, the gun with his right hand and the left arm until the elbow, and the rest. It should not be too difficult to see the intricate detail that it has in the belly. We will see how easy is paint it.

"Poner una pica en Flandes".

Hoy me he decidido a realizar un pequeño articulo de curiosidades. Y voy a comenzar por este frase hecha.
Today I will make a small entertaimment post. I start with this spanish sentence.

"....ser mas dificil que poner una pica en Flandes".  Es una frase hecha español que se formalizo durante el reinado de Felipe II, debido a la gran dificultad que poseia el imperio español en colocar un soldado de los tercios en su territorio norteño de Europa.
".... to be harder than put a pikemen in Flanders." (this can be not a correct translation, sorry). This Spanish phrase was formalized during the reign of Philip II, due to the great difficulty that the Spanish Empire had put a soldier of "tercios" in this Northern Europe territory of Flanders.

Flandes, era un provincia del Imperio Español, que comprendia una liga de condados y ciudades catolicas (la actual Bélgica), territorios Franceses (Dunkerque,...) y un conjunto de territorios llamados el flandes borgoñon (territorios ligados a los borgoñones por conquista). Estos territorios desde casi el principio de su integración al imperio fue un continuo desgaste economico-militar-politico-religioso. Debido a su mala gestión al faltar inicialmente un virrey o potestado del Emperador en la provincia. Luego la intolerancia religiosa y la mala gestión fueron caldo de cultura para las continuas rebeliones y problemas.
Flanders was a province of the Spanish Empire, which included a league of Catholic counties and cities (now Belgium), some French territories (Dunkerque, ...) and a set of territories called the Burgundian Flanders (linked to the Burgundian territories by previus conquest). These territories since almost the beginning of their integration into the empire was a continuous military-economic-political-religious bleeding out. Iniatilly The absence fo viceroy, after the poor management in the province and then religious intolerance and mismanagement were broth culture for continuous rebellions and problems.

La solución como era normal en el antiguo regimen fueron el guante de hierro y el guante de seda. El ejercito encabezado por los tercios Viejos y las alianzas y concesiones politicas.
The solution  were the "iron glove" and "silk gloves" as was common in the old regime. The army headed by "Tercios Viejos" and strengthen pace with alliances and political concessions.

Los enemigos de España aun que variaron según el momento fueron Inglaterra, hugonotes Franceses, miembros de la nobleza local en concreto el Duque de Orange... dificultaron todo lo posible que el imperio Español no fuese capaz de asegurar dicha provincia, asi que como es logico intentaron que ni por mar ni por el famoso camino español (genova, milan, suiza, bavaria, luxemburgo, flandes) fuese lo mas incomodo posible o directamente imposible.
Spain's enemies varied according to time were mainly England, French Huguenots and members of the local nobility in particular the Duke of Orange ... hampered every effort the Spanish Empire. They tried to make for the spanish were not able to secure the province. They atack the sea military convoys or the famed "Spanish Way" (Genoa, Milan, Switzerland, Bavaria, Luxembourg, Flanders) tryint to make uncomfortable as possible or bleed for each step to Flanders.

PaP. Grenadier Waffen SS. 2ºdia. 2nd Day.

Vamos con el segundo día del PaP, a ver si conseguimos mas de nuestro soldado.
We shall continue in this second day with our soldier.

Como podeis ver, este es el resultado despues del lavado de tinta. 
This is the result of the ink wash.

 

Nuestro primeros pasos serán de pincel seco. Verde Escopena, por el uniforme.
Our first steps will be dry brushes. Scopena Green for the uniform.

Marron Arena, por el mango de la herramienta y el rifle. Tb podeis ver que he cambiado el color base de las botas a marrón.
Sand Brown, for the wood of the tool and rifle. I change que colour of the boots to flat brown.

Carne bronceada sobre la correa del rifle y las botas.
Tanned Skin for the boots and the rifle straps.

Azul intermedio en pincel seco, para todas las piezas metalicas, rifle,...
Intermediate Blue for all metalic lights.




Gris Codex, para las otras correas.
Codex Grey, to the other straps





Marron Verde, para ultimar las luces en el uniforme y generar algun desgaste.
Green Brown, to last lights on the uniform to simulate wear and tear.

Llegado en este momento, hay personas que usan un filtro que homogeniza toda el trabajo realizado,...yo francamente creo que en 15mm es demasiado trabajo. Asi que os recomiendo simplemente un lavado de tinta negra muy diluido, conseguira lo mismo y reforzara el anterior lavado.
In this moment, some people use a kind of ink to mix nicely all the paint job, here we call this ink, "filtro", i don´t know the name in english, sorry. I prefer use for 15mm a black diluted ink. You will get the same result, step up the last wash and it is cheaper and easier than the other.


El siguiente paso es retocar la cara de la miniatura, por si nos hemos pasado oscureciendola y las manos. Y ya tenemos la miniatura lista para formar en su unidad.
The next step is repaint the face and the hands if you need it. And you have the unit ready to combat.

PaP. Grenadier Waffen SS

Lo primero que tengo q decir, es las tropas alemanas al final de la contienda tenian un grave problema de abastecimiento, asi que se equipaban con lo primero que pudieses obtener para su supervivencia y funcionalidad para el combate. Es mi manera de decir que estas unidades no son homogeneas, vamos no estan en un desfile.
I must to tell that the German Troops had in the end of the war a big problem with war equipament. They take everything usefull to use in the first line of the battlefront. I want to said that this units are not ready for martial march, they are not homogeneous.

Con ello comienzo, la miniatura es un Rifle de una Grenadier Kompanie.
With that in mind, I start the Grenadier Kompanie Rifle Unit.

Primero, limpiamos la mini y le damos una capa de imprimación, en 15mm, lo mejor es negro.
First, we must clean and prepare the unit, also I use some Black primer, for 15mm is better.

Siguiente paso, Capa Base Verde Acorazado. Next Sept, a Gunship Green Base.

Negro Caos, para las correas y botas.
Caos Black for the boots and straps.





Carne bronceada, para la cara y las manos.
Tanned Flesh, for face and hands.

Marrón Rojizo, para el fusil y el mango de la herramienta.
Red Brown, for the Rifle Wood and tool shank.

Verde Escopena, para la caja de la mascara de Gas.
Scopena Green, for Gas Mask Box.

Una mezcla de 2 Azul Intermedio y 1 Gris Alemán, para la cabeza de la herramientas, caja de mezcla de comida y el anima de metal del arma.




A mix of Intermediate Blue and German Grey. 2:1. It is for Mess Box, tool head and the rifle.

Marrón Mate, para la correa del rifle.
Flat Brown, for the Rifle Strap.

Marrón Arena, para la mochila de la espalda.
Sand Brown, for the backpack

Un lavado en Negro. Se ve brillante por que es reciente. Nos ayudara a darle volumen y perfilar la miniatura.
Black Ink wash, you can see it lighting because it´s just after applyed. This ink wash is going to give us Volumen and outline the unit.



Y hasta aquí voy a enseñar por hoy, con esto tendriamos una miniatura mas o menos pintada. Le falta mas luces y mas detalles. Mañana seguimos,...
It was enough for today. With this steps we have a good miniature, but it needs lights and details. Tomorrow we shall continue.

Sigo vivo!. I still alive!

No me he tomado unas vacaciones, que quede claro, estoy aqui, vivo y coleando. Me estoy retrasando pero por culpa de que deseo definir como voy a pintar mis alemanes de FOW. Y en parte por que mi proyecto de Hermano Cruzado, lo tengo avanzado, pero me esta dando mucha pereza y algo de miedo cagarla ahora, pues no recuerdo alguna receta de los colores usados.... soy un caso.
I am not taken a holiday time, I'm here alive yet. I'm not publising because first I want to define how I will paint my FOW Germans. And second my Crusader Brethren project, I have advanced but it is giving me some fear screw up now, I do not remember any of the colors that I used the last time....

Al primer tema, no se que division de las muchas que sirvieron en la guerra, me va a interesar. Principalmente me llama por concepto la 78 sturmdivision (con sus beiglet y Stug III G), también del mismo frente, la Nederland y la Wiking, sobre todo esta última, por historia y menciones al valor de la unidad. Y luego del frente occidental, la 21 Panzerdivision. Dudas, miles de dudas. El mayor problema son los libros de FoW, para ojear listas. Al final escoger una por suertes por que soy un maldito indeciso.
The first issue, too many divisions served in the war. I'll be interested on the 78th sturmdivision concept (with their beiglet troops and StuG III G), also in the East front, the Netherland and the Wiking, especially this one for history and references to the honour of the unit. And then the Western Front, the 21st Panzer Division. Thounsands of Doubts and questions about them. The biggest problem is the FoW books, same unit list respeated in different books. Finally I will choose one by lottery will because I'm a damn indecisive.

El segundo tema, me he tenido que hacer una lista de cosas a pintar. Y tendre que mentalizarme en acabar primero los proyectos inconclusos.
The second issue, I had make a list of things to paint. And I'll have to finish following it. First unfinished projects.

Campeón Alimaña Skaven. 3º Día.

Le he unido el segundo brazo, he pintado mas detalles. He retocado luces, he hecho sombras. He aplicado tintas verdes, rojas,....Me he vuelto loco por que no tengo exactamente las mismas pinturas en mi casa que en Valencia.
I fixed the second arm and painted too many details. I tweaked lights and shadows. I applied green, red and black inks, .... I've gone crazy because I didn´t have the same colours here than in Valencia.
